Raeghan is dedicated to treating all stages of women’s reproductive wellness, from enhancing fertility, through pregnancy, birth and postpartum.
By working collaboratively with other health caregivers such as physicians, midwives and doulas Raeghan is able to provide the most comprehensive and effective care for her clients. She has been in practice since 2003 and spent a decade working at the leading natural fertility centre in Canada (Acubalance Wellness Centre). She has also worked closely with local fertility centres, using acupuncture to treat and support patients undergoing assisted reproductive techniques. Having completed her Doula training, Raeghan has had the opportunity to provide support for many pregnant and laboring women.
After receiving her B.Sc from the University of Alberta, Raeghan studied Chinese Medicine at the Canadian College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Victoria, BC. Compelled by Chinese medicine’s 2000-year-old history of treating woman’s reproductive disorders, Raeghan pursued postgraduate studies in obstetrics, gynecology, sports medicine and facial rejuvenation with many world renowned specialists.
Raeghan has also treated a variety of acute and chronic musculoskeletal and neurological conditions. She uses traditional acupuncture and in some cases western-influenced acupuncture, specifically motor-point needling, to affect pain and create a better standard of living for her patients. She has studied under Matt Callison, the developer of Sports Medicine Acupuncture.
Raeghan also has a keen interest in the rejuvenating effects associated with acupuncture. She has studied under Virginia Doran, a leading expert in Facial Rejuvenation acupuncture. Because of Raeghan’s dedication to obstetrical care, she has developed and is currently teaching the “Acupuncture for Pain Management in Labour” program for midwives. Raeghan is the co-founder and board member of the Canadian Association of Obstetrical Oriental Medicine (CAOOM)
